WoW
CCG: Servants of the Betrayer
Releasing
in April
Gameplay Info:
This set continues and expands the gameplay themes from March of the Legion
(Aldor/Scryer cards, Damage type matters, Inspire and Sabotage keywords, etc),
but adds a major twist, which will be revealed closer to launch.
Configuration Info: The
19-card pack configuration will continue, as we promote sealed pack and booster
draft play through our Organized Play programs. This should help retailers
to move through additional product after customers make their initial purchases.
This is a booster and blister only release (no starter deck).
Crafting Redemption Program: This set will introduce new crafting
materials and three new recipes. These recipes will give the customers the
chance to collect very powerful promo cards if they get the correct materials
(20-30 materials cards = one promo card).
The Loot –
Some exciting information on the loot for this set:
- Consumable Loot – This is an evolution in
loot cards. Previous loot cards provided items that lasted forever
on the chosen character and could be used an infinite number of times.
Beginning with Servants of the Betrayer, one of the three loot items
(lowest rarity) will be consumable. This means that it will have a
certain number of uses before it goes away. To compensate for this,
the insert rate of that loot card will be increased. The result is
that sampling customers will get a “hit” with loot cards more
frequently which will give them a better experience with WOW TCG, and if
they want to continue to experience the cool effect of the loot item, they
will need to purchase additional packs which should help with sell
through. Every loot item that is redeemed is another in-game
advertisement for the WOW TCG. This is a win/win for customers and
retailers.

Area 52 Loot™
for You!
The rarest of the three is also another first!
The “X-51 Nether-Rocket” is the first
flying mount Loot™
Card! Straight from the goblin engineers of Area 52, this experimental
one-man rocket mount will allow heroes to blast through the skies of
Outland. Lucky players will be able to obtain their flying rocket mounts
in the standard flying +60 percent speed increase version and the epic

Just like Grandpa used to make!
With the help of good-ole Papa Hummel and his
Super-Common, soon-to-be-infamous “Papa Hummel’s Old Fashion
Biscuits”, lucky Loot™
Card holders can increase the size of their cosmetic
pet, making them comparable to the size of Hunter class pets!
For TCG players, that
means huge monster pets that no opponent is going to want to face.
In the MMORPG world, players can soon have rampaging
Murkies, King Kong Bananas and giant robotic chickens! |
A Storm is Coming!
The uncommonly lucky will enjoy all the pleasures of
their very own weather system with the “Personalized Weather Maker.”
This Loot™ Card creates
random MMORPG weather effects when used, from sunbeams and blue skies, to
