Games Workshop @ YottaquestYottaquest Warhammer 40K LeagueDate: Sept 28 to January 4 Cost: $8 Details
League Rules: ·
Upon registration, each player will
submit the “race” they will be playing, that player must use the Codex for
that race that is compatible with the 5th edition rules (that means 4th
edition codexes with FAQ updates is acceptable until a new codex becomes
available) ·
At the beginning of each game both
players must provide their opponent with their Army list for that battle.
It must be on the official Army List Sheet and printed legibly.
Any army list questions or disputes must be settled BEFORE the game takes
place, or it will be considered that the opponent has no dispute with the army
list. Ineligible army lists (bad
force composition, incorrect wargear, incorrect points calculations) should can
be corrected in a timely manner, if they cannot be corrected, a yottaquest staff
member can disqualify the army list and that player will suffer a loss.
As long as the other player is present, with a valid army and army list,
they will be credited with a win. ·
All armies must consist of Games
Workshop Warhammer 40,000 models, following the allowed conversion rule of “at
least 50% of each model must be GW”. ·
Force composition MUST include at
least 1 HQ and 2 Troops ·
For the regular 750 league games,
Models do NOT need to be WYSIWYG, however it must be COMPLETELY OBVIOUS as to
which model matches up with each Army List component.
–this allows for some minor wargear changes and even some limited proxy
models to be used each week without harsh modeling requirements, however, your
opponent MUST be clear on what each model is armed with, check those army lists
BEFORE the fight. In the playoffs,
This rule is voided and each model MUST be WYSIWYG. ·
At the conclusion of each battle
the Battle Record Sheet must be filled out and SIGNED by BOTH players.
These sheets MUST be turned in before Close of Business at Yottaquest on
the Sunday that marks the end of each round. ·
Any Rules disputes may of course be
sent to a judge at Yottaquest, but I encourage players to use the “golden
rule”, check the rulebooks and make your point to your opponent, if there is
still a dispute, roll a die, on a 1-3 make the judgment favorable to player-A,
on a 4-6 make the judgment favorable to player-B.
For example, I scatter a blast template, and I think that it is touching
3 of my opponent’s pieces, but he thinks it is only touching 2.
I roll a die, on a 1-3 I cause 3 hits to my opponent’s models, on a 4-6
I only cause 2 hits. ·
The 5th edition Main
rules will govern play. The newest version of any special rule takes precedence
over any older version of a rule or special ability.
·
Yottaquest staff has final say in
ALL matters, and players can be removed from the league at any time without a
refund if deemed necessary. Play
fair, and remember, HAVE FUN!
