Jim Wampler Bio
Jim Wampler is currently the madman (i.e. writer and artist) behind the Marvin the Mage webcomic. Wampler has been playing fantasy role playing games since miniatures were cast in lead and you had to color in the numbers on your dice with a crayon — cutting his gaming teeth on classics like Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Gamma World, and Metamorphosis Alpha.
In 2006 Wampler founded and ran Mudpuppy Games, a small press games publisher that released Metamorphosis Alpha 4th Edition. Wampler also authored and published GALACTA•3, an easy-to-use, beer-and-pretzels set of rules for 25mm science-fiction tabletop combat, as well as re-releasing the classic Heritage USA miniatures line from the 1980s, GALACTA 25. Wampler has been privileged to work with such industry legends as TSR’s Jim Ward, Tom Wham, and Tim Kask, as well as Heritage USA sculptor and game author David Helber.
